- Ive heard people say sandstorm would be available for Mac. I've played both insurgency and day of infamy on Mac and they are both running decently. Before I say anything I'm very unaware about why some computers can/cannot run specific games. But how can sandstorm run on Mac? It looks like the game is demanding in terms of specs.

Day of Infamy is a community made total conversion for Insurgency based on the popular Valve title Day of Defeat, it aims to bring a realistic and expansive WW2 experience back to the source engine by utilizing the power of Insurgency’s growing fan base and modding communities (such as ours) to help develop content.

The game is a lot of funny although, while attacking the best way to win is by using smokes to cover you as you move up especially in Bastogne and eventually if you throw enough people on the objective in the Invasion gamemode you will win. The developers are going to be adding British into the game as well, along with factions which are going to be added as well where weapons are affected by the mod and time period. So that not every map will have have the latter weapons of the war, such as the STG44, 1919A6, M1 Carbine, MG42, Gewehr 43, etc. Example of this would be for the map Dunkirk they won’t have MG42s but instead MG34s and the Brits would have M1928 Thompsons not the Thompson M1/A1.

Multiplayer features larger scale battles with many reinforcement waves as well as smaller scale engagements with special reinforcement mechanics. With Cooperative, there are three distinct game modes and multiple enemy difficulties to keep things challenging.

Pay close attention to your surroundings, as blindly running into an open area is the easiest way to get killed. Lean around corners, lay prone to steady your aim, and walk slowly to conceal the sound of your footsteps – these are effective strategies to stay alive.
